12 Jyotirlinga Tour Package


Day 1: Arrival in Kolkata  

Meet our representative at the Kolkata International Airport in the morning and get escorted to one of our listed hotels. After checking in at the hotel relax in your comfortable hotel room.

 

Spend rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, explore the culture of Kolkata by taking a walk to nearby places. Later return to the hotel for a delicious meal and overnight stay.

 

Day 2: Kolkata- Kiul

 

Next morning, after a healthy breakfast, enjoy the local beauty of Kolkata by taking a sightseeing tour of the city. Kalighat, Victoria Memorial, Town Hall, College Street and Botanical Gardens are some of the prime tourist attractions across the city.

 

In the afternoon, enjoy lunch at one of the hotels and in the evening get transferred to the Howrah Railway Station to board an overnight train to Kiul.

 

Day 3: Kiul-Baijnath Temple

 

When the dawn breaks, train enters the Kiul Railway Station. Disembark from the train and  meet our representative for a smooth transfer to Deogarh, to visit the Baijnath temple.

 

On the way towards the temple enjoy the scenic beauty spilled across the terrain. On reaching Deogarh, visit the famous Baijnath temple to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. The temple complex comprises a total of 22 temples and are white painted.

 

12 Joytirlingas are installed in the Baba Baijnath Temple. While in Deogarh, you may also visit Kathikund, Kundeshwari and Shivaganga. After the visit, drive straight to Bodhgaya and get accommodated at one of our listed hotels for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 4: Bodhgaya-Varanasi

 

On the next day after a splendid breakfast move out to explore Bodhgaya, it is the place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. Also, visit the famous Bodhi tree present in the Mahabodhi Temple complex. The tree is believed to be a sapling of the original Bodhi tree, which was taken away by King Ashoka’s daughter to Sri Lanka.

 

Great Buddha Statue, Royal Bhutan Monastery, Chinese Temple and Ajapala Nigrodha tree are some of the other prime tourist attractions of Bodhgaya.

 

After exploring Bodhgaya, move out to reach Varanasi. Upon reaching Varanasi, get accommodated in one of our listed hotels and enjoy a relaxing meal.  

 

Day 5:  Varanasi-Delhi

 

On the following day, wake up a bit early to enjoy a soul-rejuvenating boat ride on the Holy River Ganges. Also, enjoy the sight of saints busy with their morning praying rituals on the Bathing Ghats of River Ganga. Pilgrims consider taking a Holy dip in this pious river will clean their souls.

 

Pay a visit to the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple to offer prayer to the divine Lord followed by breakfast at the hotel.

 

Later in the afternoon visit the famous Durga temple, Bharat Mata temple and Banaras Hindu University for sightseeing. The holy city is famed for having more than 200 temples and shrines.

 

After the sightseeing tour, take a leisurely walk to explore the populated bazaars which are quite famous for selling Brocades and Banarsi silk saris. In the evening, get transferred to Varanasi Railway Station to board an overnight train to Delhi.

 

Day 6: Delhi

 

Early morning the train reaches the Delhi Railway Station. After disembarking from the train, meet our representatives who will escort you to one of our listed hotels.

 

After checking in the hotel, spend the entire day resting and relaxing in your cozy hotel room.

 

In the evening, take a walk and enjoy the local markets of Delhi, which are a perfect place to shop souvenirs for your family and friends.  

 

Day 7:  Rishikesh and Rudraprayag

 

Next day early morning, enjoy a healthy breakfast and fasten your seat belts to leave for Rudraprayag.

 

En-route visit and explore the holy place of Rishikesh. Neelkanth Mahadev Temple, Triveni Ghat, Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula are some of the prominent religious attractions present in Rishikesh. The adventure enthusiasts can also enjoy bungee jumping at Jumpin Heights. After the visit resume the drive to Rudraprayag.

 

As you reach Rudraprayag, get accommodated at one of the listed hotels and enjoy the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel. Enjoy a lip-smacking dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 8:  Rudraprayag-Gaurikund-Kedarnath

 

On the next day enjoy waking up in Rudraprayag, one of the Paanch Prayag of the Alaknanda river. After enjoying a lavish breakfast, drive straight to Gaurikund. After reaching Gaurikund, enjoy a trek to Kedarnath.

 

On reaching Kedarnath, get accommodated in one of our listed hotels and spend the afternoon relaxing in your hotel room. In the evening, attend the Pooja Aarti at the famous temple of Kedarnath. Set amidst the snow capped Himalayas, Kedarnath temple is visited by a large number of devotees to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. Rich in legend and tradition, this ancient shrine is accessible only six months a year.

 

In the evening, enjoy a lavish dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 9:  Kedarnath-Gaurikund-Rishikesh

 

Wake up early morning to attend the morning Pooja Ceremony at the Kedarnath temple. After the ceremony trek down to Gaurikund, to take a refreshing bath at Gaurikund hot springs.

Drive straight to Rishikesh and check into one of our listed hotels.

 

Move out and explore the natural beauty and the majestic landscapes of Rishikesh. The adventure lovers may opt for adventure activities like rafting to feel the adrenaline rush in their body.

 

Triveni Ghat famous for its Maha Aarti, beating drums, chanting of Bhajans, clap lamps and bells is a place you may like to visit in the evening. The famous practice of placing small oil-lit leaf lamps in the water by devotees is a soul calming view witnessed by the visitors.

 

Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 10: Rishikesh - Delhi

 

On the next day after breakfast drive back to Delhi. Upon reaching Delhi, check-in and relax as the afternoon is free for leisure activities. Akshardham Temple, Lotus Temple, Jama Masjid,  Red Fort, Jantar Mantar, Humayun’s Tomb are some of the attractions to visit in Delhi if you opt for sightseeing.

 

Later return to the hotel for an extravagant dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day-11: Delhi-Indore

 

Today after breakfast, get transferred to the Delhi Domestic Airport to board a flight to Indore.

 

Upon reaching Indore meet our representatives and get  escorted to one of our listed hotels. Check-in at the hotel. After taking some rest, do visit the famous Omkareshwar Temple, known for being a rare archaeological site. The pious temple is closely located from the city of Indore and is frequently visited by a large number of visitors.

 

Enjoy a boat ride on the Narmada River after offering your prayers at the Omkareshwar Temple. In the evening, drive back to Indore for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day12: Indore-Ujjain-Indore

 

After a healthy breakfast, embark a full day excursion trip to Ujjain. The pious landscapes of Ujjain are bounded by the holy waters of the Shipra River.

 

Ujjain is considered as one of the major cities for the Hindu Pilgrimages. If the legends are to be believed, the origin of Ujjain is ascribed to the mythological legend of Sagar Manthan.

Day 13: Indore - Nashik  

 

Post breakfast travel to Nashik by road. Upon reaching, get accommodated at one of our listed hotels. After relaxing in your hotel room, move out to explore some of the prime tourist attractions. Coin Museum, Ramkund, Muktidham Temple, Someshwar and Pandavleni Caves are some of the prime attractions present in Nashik.

 

After exploring Nashik return back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 14: Nashik - Aurangabad

 

After an early breakfast, move out and pay a visit to the famous Trayambakeshwar Temple to offer your prayers to the eighth Jyotirlinga. The temple features a magnificent Indo Aryan Style Interior.

 

The inner temple complex is surrounded by the magnificently crafted sculptures and idols. The huge bull present in front of the temple along with the marble statue of Nandi is a must visit. Throughout the year, the holy water of the River Ganga trickles down on the Jyotir Lingam present inside Garbagriha.

 

Drive straight to Aurangabad and check-in at the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

 

Day15: Aurangabad

 

Today after breakfast, enjoy a full day excursion to Ajanta and Ellora caves. A prime tourist attraction, the caves are nestled amidst Sahyadri hills and are cut into the curved mountain side.

 

The majestic Ajanta caves reside over the Wagohra river. Discovered by a group of British officers on a tiger hunting expedition, the caves are visited by a large number of visitors every year.

 

A total of 34, Ellora caves is a house to elaborated facades and exquisitely adorned interiors.  

 

Day 16: Aurangabad-Pune-Rajkot

 

Next morning after breakfast, visit Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga, a popular pilgrimage site and one of the domiciles among the 12 Jyotirlingas of Shiva.

 

After the visit, travel to Pune by road. On reaching Pune, check in at one of our listed hotels and take rest for a while. At a drive distance of 3 hours from Pune, pay a visit to the Lord Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga which is situated in the forest reserve.

 

After the visit, get transferred to the railway station to board an overnight train to Rajkot.

 

Day 17: Rajkot

 

As the dawn breaks the train marks its arrival in Rajkot. After disembarking the train, meet our representative and get transferred to the hotel for check-in.

 

In the evening, explore the local beauty of Rajkot by taking a walk and later return to the hotel for a delicious dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 18: Rajkot-Dwarka

 

After Breakfast, pack your bags to leave for Dwarka. Upon reaching, check- in at the hotel and take some rest. After straightening your backs visit the Jyotirlinga present in the Nageshwar Temple, also believed to be the first Joytirllinga on the earth. The Shivalinga present inside the temple compound face south, while the Gomugam is on the east.

 

The Temple is visited by a large number of devotees offering their prayers to Lord Shiva during the festive celebration of Shivaratri.

 

Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 19: Dwraka-Somnath

 

Next morning post-breakfast, drive straight to Somnath and get accommodated at one of our listed hotels.

 

After lunch, visit Somnath Temple prominent for its architecture, including silver doors, intricate carving and an impressive Nadi Idol. The legend says that Chandra Devan prayed to Lord Shiva at Somnath for nearly 4000 years in order to seek redemption from a curse given by Dakshan.

 

After offering prayers return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 20: Somnath-Diu-Mumbai

 

Attend an early morning Aarti at the Somnath temple. After breakfast, leave for the Diu airport to board a connecting flight to Mumbai.  

 

At Mumbai airport, meet our representatives and get a smooth transfer to one of our listed hotels. The entire day is free for leisure activities.

Day 21: Mumbai-Hyderabad

 

On the following day, after breakfast board a flight to Hyderabad. Upon reaching the Hyderabad airport, get greeted by our representatives and get escorted to one of our listed hotels. After Lunch, move out for a sightseeing tour of Hyderabad.

 

Golconda Fort, Charminar, Taramati Baradari, Birla Mandir, Salar Jung Museum and Shilparamam are some of the prime tourist attractions.

Day 22: Mallikarjuna

 

Post-breakfast, drive to the beautiful Srisailam town situated on the banks of Patalganga Krishna River to visit the Lord Mallikarjuna Temple.

 

The town of Srisailam is held in high esteem by the natives and is looked upon as the Kailash of South. The sculptures present in the inner complex of the temple narrate the great epic tales of the Mahabharata and Ramayana.

Day 23: Hyderabad - Kottayam

 

After a relaxing Brunch, get transferred to Hyderabad Railway Station to board an overnight train for Kottayam.

 

Day 24: Kottayam - Madurai

Day 25: Rameshwaram  

 

Travel to Rameshwaram by road and enjoy a full day excursion. The pilgrimage here rests on a large island surrounded by the sea in the southern part of India.

 

According to the Hindu Mythology, Lord Rama offered his prayers to Lord Varuna, the sea god to build a route to Lanka. Lord Varuna approved and diminished the intensity of the sea waves in order to help the construction of a stone bridge.

 

Enjoy visiting the landscapes and the picturesque beauty of Rameshwaram, along with seashores and the tranquil sea which is free from any waves.

 

Return to Madurai for the lip-smacking dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

 

Day 26: Madurai - Chennai

 

Post-breakfast, transfer to Madurai Railway Station to board a train to Chennai.

 

Upon reaching Chennai, meet our representatives at the station and get transferred to the hotel for check-in.

Day 27: Chennai (Departure)
